Let’s read Significance of colours in Holi:
As we have grown up, we have seen many colours of Holi. It is called the colour of the festival, but Holi 2021 is not. We can not play the Holi with colour this time. We have to think about how to play safe Holi COVID-19 force us to play Holi without colour.
As an Indian, I plan to play Holi 2021 with human to human colour without discriminating against any human colour.
Holi is one of the most important festivals in India. It plays a significant role in every region of India.
My few memories and lessons from it:
- When I was a teenager, I always throw colour at our loved ones and dear ones. All friends and family members used to try to throw and bedaub more and more colours to everyone. It challenges your self how you can throw the colour better than everyone.
- It was the most exuberant memory for everyone.
- You forget your past, ego and conflict and enjoy the colour of festive
- Gujiya and Puaa (Indian homemade dish) is the most favourite dish in India in every home.
- Visualise the scenario if there were only two colours, Black and White. Life would be too monotonous and boring.
When I was in Teenager, I didn’t know the meaning of all colours: But there was a very significant meaning of all colours:
- Red: It is the colour of love, passion and colour fertility. It is the first choice of every Indian to throw or bedaub someone. They also associated anger, war and hate. It would be best if you avoided it.
- Green: You know that green is the colour of nature. It is the symbol of beginning in your life. It shows your cool, calm and logical. Make sure you throw colours or bedaub someone with logic.
- Yellow: It is the most vibrant, energetic colour. Everybody tries to become a vibrant, energetic colour like Yellow. It is a symbol of hope and positivity. Smily is also yellow in colour; it makes sure you smear someone with a smiley face.
- Blue: It is the colour of the sky. The colour is most popular among our youth. It is the sign of how highest your Vision or Aim in your life. In general, you can say that if you bedaub someone with a blue colour, your vision is too high, your ability to touch the sky. also represents stability and reliability.
- Pink: It is the identity of women. It shows caring and compassion about yourself. It is the universal colour of love; if you are newly married, you must bedaub to love one (his/her).
- Purple: The colour shows the most magnetic personality, luxurious, royal touch. It represents wealth, dignity and pride. Make sure you play Holi with dignity.
- Black: It represents power, fear, strength. Apart from it is also called the colour of Krishna. (If you do know the immortal love of Krishna and Radha). Usually, black colour does not use to play Holi people avoid play with black.
Holi is a time to reach out with the colours of joy. It is time to love and forgive. It is the time that expresses the happiness of being loved and to be loved through colours.
Conclusion: I didn’t know the meaning of the colours. But unconsciously, my favourite colour was green. And it represents my nature, and I agree that it’s 100% matches my nature and personality. Every colour is a significant meaning; indirectly, it represents your personality. It shows how calm I am.
